The adults living in these homes cultivate the skills they need to move to more independent settings, to reach personal goals, and to live satisfying and successful lives in a community setting. * Clubhouse Program Elm Brook Place and Renaissance House are clubhouse programs serving adults with chronic mental illness. This clubhouse, which is run by both members and staff, offers transitional employment placements that help members find or return to work. Youth Exploring Possibilities is a transitional age program for young adults in the Metro North and Greater Lynn areas. The program offers an innovative service delivery system which integrates skill building with therapeutic, personal growth and peer mentor components. Insight Day Rehabilitation Service utilizes a psychosocial rehabilitation approach to promote the development of prevocational, social, recreational and daily living skills for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. A variety of treatment modalities including individual, group, case management, occupational and recreational therapies are offered to assist in goal development, symptom management and recovery, interpersonal and social skill building. --- Developmental Disabilities * Residential Services The Developmental Disabilities Residential Programs support developmentally disabled adults in staffed apartments and community residential programs. These residential supports provide opportunities for people to enrich their lives, develop personal skills and competencies, and enjoy a full range of community activities while developing a network of caring relationships. Eliot manages four homes which serve developmentally disabled men and women and provides support for individuals living independently in their own apartments. * Vocational / Day Services The Kelliher Center provides community based day supports and employment supports for adults who are developmentally disabled. The Community Based Day Habilitation program provides opportunities for people to be involved with personal or community activities of their own choosing and to be involved with work activities consistent with their personal goals. The Employment Supports program provides support for people to achieve various work experiences, including supported and competitive employment within their communities. Within the Kelliher Center, people receive individualized training, supervision and compensation for their work. * Elder Services The Ombudsman Program provides weekly visits to elderly residents of twenty-four area nursing homes by volunteer Ombudsman, who are trained and supervised. Ombudsman talk with residents, observe the general conditions of the homes, and give the residents an opportunity to express any concerns. With the residents' consent, these volunteers act to ensure that all problems are investigated and addressed. Serious complaints of abuse, mistreatment, or neglect are reported immediately to the proper authorities for investigation. The Ombudsman Program is certified by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs and is under contract with Minutemen Home Care. * Youth Programming Eliot Community Human Services has developed a network of youth programs that strive to create environments which promote positive growth and change through unique and innovative strategies. Our range of services are designed to provide youth with the values, skills and strengths necessary to face and overcome personal challenges in a way that will enable them to lead happy, healthy and productive lives. --- * Juvenile Justice Programs The Eliot network of juvenile justice programs serves young men and women ages 12 to 21, who are in the care and custody of the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services. Our service models include short and long term residential care, independent living, and comprehensive assessments. Each of these highly structured residential programs offer a full range of cognitive-behavioral groups including aggression management, pro-social skill building, substance abuse prevention, moral dilemma discussion and life management skills. These programs offer long-term treatment and intensive clinical services aimed at preparing residents to return home or to transition into independent living situations upon their return to the community. * Outpatient Services The Eliot Outpatient Programs offer outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, adults and elders at our clinic locations in Concord, Everett and Lynn. Services include diagnostic evaluation, individual, couples, family and group therapy, psychopharmacological services, psychological testing, information and referral, consultation, case management services, and 24-hour emergency coverage. * Substance Abuse Services Substance Abuse Counseling is available at our Everett and Lynn Clinics. Services offered include individual and group counseling, education and psychopharmacology for individuals, adults and families. We also provide court ordered treatment for Anger Management. Driving Under the Influence (DUIL) treatment is a court referred education and counseling program for individuals charged with alcohol related driving offenses. The Second Offender Program is a court affiliated program for individuals charged with multiple alcohol related driving offenses. Treatment requires court monitored abstinence and weekly attendance at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in addition to weekly group meetings. * Batterer Intervention Program Our Batterer Intervention Program is a 40 week psycho educational program for court ordered and self referred perpetrators of domestic violence. The program assists individuals in recognizing and accepting responsibility for abusive behaviors and learning non-violent alternatives. --- * Emergency and Diversionary Services * Emergency Services Our Emergency Services Program provides mobile psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, stabilization and follow up for children, adults and elders in acute psychiatric distress, 24-hours per day, 365 days per year.
