The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Executive Office and Emergency Management department is kicking off a donation drive for the victims of the ice storm on the Cheyenne River Sioux Indian Reservation in northern South Dakota. Many Cheyenne River tribal members have been without power and water since a huge winter storm on Jan. 21.
Donations are being sought for the following items: Hygiene products, diapers, baby food, baby formula, clothing, blankets, batteries, candles, first aid kits and monetary donations.
Please submit all items by Friday, Feb. 19 to the EBCI Emergency Management Office.
