notes: The Irvinve Animal Care Shelter has taken in 87 pets from evacuated families from the following communities: Silverado Canyon Modejska Canyon Trabuco Canyon Lake Arrowhead San Diego Shelter Update 10/26/07 Irvine Animal Care Center Travels to Escondido to help a local shelter! For the past several days, we've been in close contact with the Escondido Humane Society. This shelter has been overwhelmed with the amount of animals that have been turned in by families in the local communities that have had to evacuate the area. Yesterday, the Escondido Humane Society contacted the shelter and requested help. Escondido Humane Society asked the Irvine Animal Care Shelter to take in some of their strays and adoptable dogs since they are stretched for kennels, resources and staff. Today, four staff members from the Irvine Animal Shelter traveled to Escondido. We have taken in 20 great dogs of all sizes and breeds and these dogs are currently available for adoption at our shelter. -> The Irvine Animal Care Shelter took in 94 pets from evacuated families from the following communites: Silverado Canyon, Modjeska Canyon, Trabuco Canyon, Lake Arrowhead and San Diego.
