Volunteer Opportunities, In General * (ANY/ALL Types) available at Irvine Animal Care Shelter

Our shelter volunteers provide our animals love, attention, and training. They perform tasks that assist our staff, customers, and most importantly our shelter pets.The Irvine Animal Care Center’s volunteer program does not require volunteers to schedule their shifts before they volunteer.We try to make it as convenient for you to volunteer!

Basic Requirements To Become A Volunteer:

Age Requirement: 14 years or older
Junior Volunteer Program (14-17 years old)
Adult Volunteer Program (18 years and older)

Minimum Time Commitment
Our minimum commitment for our volunteers is 8 hours a month, for the first six months. After the first six months, we require all volunteers to maintain a minimum of 5 hours per a month, (excluding the month of December.)

Teamwork!
Our volunteers work with staff, other volunteers, customers, AND animals. Volunteers need to be comfortable working with the public and able to work with others.
