MISSION STATEMENT

To provide victim navigation through the disaster relief services and assist where gaps exist

Vision

To incorporate God’s love, word and healing inspiration through fellowship with local congregations & in partnership with other community supportive Disaster Relief Agencies and Businesses. To address the needs of the community as a buffer for victims of natural and human disasters while focusing on assistance with housing, emotional trauma, spiritual needs and relocation.

Goals

• To respond to the basic needs of men, women and children who have been emotionally traumatized or displaced because of unexpected circumstances.

• To provide transitional structure and resources that fuel and sustain the steps of a family or individuals back to a balanced lifestyle

• To maintain and communicate information that allows clear direction and specific guidelines for recovery from the loss and damage of property and reconstruction of life, spirit and peace of mind.

Unity in Disasters, Inc will begin distributing new women's clothes donated by Dress Barn retail chain made possible through United Way of Georgia Disaster Preparedness and Recovery.

6289 Veterans Memorial Highway, Building 12-A.
Austell, Georgia 30168.

Interstate 20 west. Exit Thornton Rd. (bare to the right) Drive about 2 miles until Bankhead Hwy (Veterans Memorial Highway) make a right. Second street on left and you will see GREEN Sweetwater Valley CAMP signs.

Distribution will begin this Saturday 10-10-2009 from 11:30am-1pm. All agencies must call or email schedule pick up after this Saturday so we can have items boxed and prepared.

• Dress Barn shipment coming in Thursday for use by other agencies. Will send out details later.
