We are one of the oldest charitable non-profit agencies in Butte County, California, working since 1911 to bring humanitarian care to dogs, cats and other animals entering our shelter. Our success comes from pairing the right pet with the right owner. This helps us meet our goal of finding loving homes for all the lost, abandoned and otherwise unwanted animals that come through our door, and to provide education to the public concerning animal care and the importance of spaying and neutering. We are an Open Admissions Shelter for the City of Chico. This means we accept every animal that is brought to our facility, from within the city of Chico, regardless of age, health, behavior or special needs.
