Mission: Our mission is to eliminate hunger in Southwest Georgia.
Our goal is to ensure that every community that depends on
our services are adequately assisted in our efforts to end
hunger. 1 out of every 5 families in our 20 county poverty
stricken region lives at or below the poverty level.

*For every dollar spent, 93 cents is used in the community
providing services that directly help people in need. The
Food Bank of SWGA is one of more than 200 food banks and
food rescue organizations affiliated with America’s Second
Harvest , the nation’s largest hunger relief charity, but
governed by a local board of directors .

In addition to providing our partner agencies with food and other grocery products, we operate a Manna Truck program and sponsor child hunger programs.

Manna Truck is a mobile pantry that we use to deliver food and drinks to low income areas throughout our service area. This program allows agencies or other sponsors the opportunity to distribute 5,000 lbs. of food and drinks to those in need of food assistance at a specified location all at one time.
