notes: This group, like AidMatrix hopes that everyone will use their software, and that over time, a global network will exist that relies on their software to manage resources. It is not open source, but looks useful. They have a number of couties that are using it, and it appears as though they are "county-focused", where AidMatrix appears "state-focused". The group is clearly more "front line" focused than AidMatrix, though. It appears to have been built by disaster managers, and includes much more than just listing of needs/avails. But it also doesn't appear to be as current/recent as AidMatrix. Like AidMatrix, this organization seeks money for the use of its software. It is not open source. Despite its profit motive, the organization appears to be sociall conscious. And the software looks very useful. Much more comprehensive in its application featurs than AidMatrix or other available tools, even the Relief Database. For example, it has a volunteer management system, and a construction supplies management system, to mention two out of MANY modules. They have a number of counties that are using it, and it appears as though they are "county-focused", where AidMatrix appears "state-focused". The group is clearly more "front line" focused than AidMatrix. It appears to have been built by disaster managers, and includes much more than just listing of needs/avails. But it also doesn't appear to be as current/recent as AidMatrix, so we wonder how operational, the currently are. We look forward to seeing what this group can do long term.
