All residents are advised to use good judgment in returning to their homes in areas where the flood waters have receded. There is still substantial flooding along the Tangipahoa River and other creeks and streams. The Tangipahoa River, according to the national weather service, has crested at Hwy 190. The most current reading is 19.88 ft at 8:30am. The river is receding .
