FDO was established in 1995 and registered in 1998 under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration & Control Ordinance 1961 (XLVI of 1961). The organization is working in 09 Tehsils (81 villages) of districts Lohdran, Khanewal, Multan and Bahawalpur.
The vision of the organization is “a society which is just, equitable, pluralist and socially, economically and politically vibrant. The social mobilization is the core programme of FDO. FDO utilizes Social Mobilization as the primary means of supporting rural development and poverty alleviation. FDO attempts to reach the poorest and marginalized masses and introduces its programme purpose and objective to them. PO entered into agreement with health & education unit in November 2009 and has adopted 19 schools and 6 health centers.
