Pine Ridge Indian Reservation is the most impoverished community in our country. Wings of Hope is bringing food relief and other life essentials to this reservation. WOH is also helping other impoverished reservations such as Standing Rock Reservation-ND, Blackfeet Nation-MT, Wind River Reservation-WY, Rosebud Reservation-SD. We bring long term commitment to bring lasting results. Currently we tend to immediate physical needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and health issues. 114 acres has been purchased to build the Dream Center on Pine Ridge which will bring community development, education, health care, business, and economy to this region. With the building of the Dream Center, it will create job training and jobs. Homes are in devastating condition. Many families live together in a two bedroom house without heat, electricity, plumbing, and running water. These are the areas in the northern plains and rocky mountain regions with limited or no resources. Poor health care, highest rate of suicide amongst the young, and high risk of disease is the way of life. WON'T YOU GIVE TO HELP END SUCH HOPELESSNESS AND DESPAIR ON OUR OWN SOIL? Wings of Hope is currently bringing food and life sustaining supplies to these families and children. The average life expectancy for a male is 45 years, and 52 years for women. This is the shortest life expectancy for any community in the Western Hemisphere outside of Haiti.
