We have contacted some Prime Minister and officials abroad to open doors for the Haitian Students for a period of time and we haven't got answer to allow them to continue their education. Our Haitian students are not looking for work, they just need some country, some people to provide an approval petition. This is a rare circumstances but please do somebody give them the opportunity to rebuilt. They are the new generation. MISSION UPDATE After January 12th, 2010, our program in Marigot is reaching from eighty nine to one hundred and five children. The number is growing rapidly because some families are relocating from other communities and enrolled their children to our program. We have more requests for food, color crayons, pencil and paper for the children to draw and keep themselves occupy during the crisis. The school season is temporarily closed at this time because of the crisis but the parents are very excited to have their children coming at the center everyday to learn, play, sing and eat together. The establishment of FONDESCH, "A Community Help Foundation" is a result of our outrage at the audacity of some people who participate needlessly in complicating the transition of our Haitian-born brothers and sisters.
