Yes, I’m still in Haiti working. Gladys said she could use about 200 tents. We have patients ready to discharge from the hospital who are homeless. There are also many of our staff without homes here in Haiti. We are getting some donation of food but cannot seem to get any powdered milk or sugar so those things are needed. Soy formula for the babies is also needed. Diapers we are using here on the pediatric unit and actually we need them in all sizes for many of the patients who are not ambulatory yet. We could use some gently used clothing for babies, children and adults in good condition but this would probably be at the bottom of our needs list – we could use some for the patients we are discharging without anything. We are looking for mattresses (twin size) for the hospital, flat sheets all sizes, towels and washcloths Hygiene items like toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap, shampoo, etc. to send out with patients leaving as well.
