Minnesota Responds to Red River Valley Flooding

In response to the major flooding in the Red River Valley of Minnesota and North Dakota, the MN Community Services Federation and Moorhead Seventh-day Adventist Church have been operating a Distribution Depot in Moorhead, MN. The facility has been generously donated by D&M Industries. The team of volunteers has been working hard to provide clean-up equipment, protective gear, and cleaning solutions to survivors. Bob Hilde, the MN ACS/DR Coordinator, and Les Morrison, Assistant Coordinator, take turns running the depot with faithful volunteers Joyce Meyer and Vicki Turner. Les Morrison was able to deliver 13 pallets of supplies to a particularly devastated area in Oakport Township on Sabbath, April 11. Les thanks God for the opportunity to serve 157 people that day, and knows he couldn’t do it without the local volunteers. During the period of April 3 through April 13, 339 families representing 687 people were served in the name of Christ!
