ACS/DR teams in North Dakota are setting up a donations management warehouse in Bismark. Les Morrison of ACS/DR Minnesota, Minnetonka ACS Director, picked up approximately 25 cages and other supplies from Richfield on 3/27 and delivered to emergency pet shelters in Moorhead, MN on 3/28. Bob Hilde of ACS/DR Minnesota visited with the Detroit Lakes congregation 3/28 and rallied up many local volunteers in the event we are activated. We do have a great lead for volunteers through First Link and volunteers from the University. Elder Dr. Scott Turner of Moorhead church has helped locally to scout out possible locations for a donations management warehouse in Moorhead.
At this time, Adventist Disaster Response North American Division leadership team has put us in "wait" mode. Our response will depend largely on the number of evacuees in the Fargo/Moorhead area. The MN VOAD & Homeland Security has notified Bob Hilde that a warehouse response is likely to be requested in the near future.

The Red River Valley is expected to crest on Friday at 40-41'. Bob Hilde and Les Morrison of the MN Community Services Federation have been in daily contact with the local emergency managers and state officials. We are preparing for the possibility of Adventist Disaster Response, likely in the Moorhead area, by providing a donations management warehouse. We have not been activated by the state yet, and will not be activated until late this week/early next week (if we are needed).

Volunteers do not have to be certified and do not have to be Adventist, but should be over 18.
