Notes:

UPDATE 1/7/08:

Per the Director, as a result of the Fernley levee breech,
this site has rescued:

2 horses that were in 8 foot of water
22 dogs
7 cats (4 have been released to their owners)

2 of the cats were floating on mattresses

They expected more livestock rescue but it seems most horse owners
were able to get them out and place them on surround ranches/farms
from friends, family and generous community members willing to
assist in this emergency.

They expect more animals to be coming in and rescued in the
following days.

PetCo & Petsmart were very generous with food, but they can use
Litter Scoopers for their kitties.

Otherwise all is under control and they are good.

They are going to get back to us regarding the need for
a container. This has to be approved.

With all the food they received, the concern is that rodents
will infest the barn where it's being stored. The container
would be very beneficial to them temporarily.

The director is also contacting many other local sites to
secure Storage Container donation destinations. She's been
extraordinarily helpful in CAT's efforts to assist this
community.
