Hey y'all,

There are some exciting things happening right now. First, my thanks to
Stephanie Watts, Jon Miller and my brother Jon Gordon for their fine work in
the production of a promotional dvd on my work which has just been

Next, we are gearing up here for the premiere Gulf Coast screenings of the
award-winning documentary, Mississippi Son. Filmmakers Don and Leslie
Wilson will be flying in from Los Angeles for the event, and several of the
musicians from the film will be attending as well. The screenings will be
on Saturday, October 27, in conjunction with our annual ArtsAlive! Studio
Tours of Hancock County. The matinee will be at 1:30 pm at the Bay St.
Louis branch of the Hancock County Library, with a reception for the
filmmakers immediately following. The evening screening will be held at
6:30 pm in the city parking lot between the Firedog and Maggie Mays, next to
the intersection of Main Street and Beach Blvd in Bay St. Louis. Bring a
lawn chair and dress for cool weather. In case of rain, the event will

I have teamed up with the Mississippi Chapter of the March of Dimes for
their 2007 fundraiser, "Spotlight on Success". I will be joining the other
honorees at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi on November 1st for a night of food
and entertainment featuring exclusive live and silent auctions. I have
donated a piece of The Katrina Collection for the auction, and have agreed
to sell some tickets to the event. So, if any of y'all want to donate $50
($90 for a couple, $500 for a table) to a worthy cause, attend what promises
to be a good party-or sponsor someone else to attend-let me know, and I will

I have also joined forces with a couple of other great organizations. On
November 7 I will be traveling to Atlanta for "Laughter in the Gallery", a
gala event to benefit New Learning Center of Decatur. I have created a
brand new piece of The Katrina Collection for their fund raising
efforts (Flying
Towards the Light), and am looking forward to an evening at the New American
Shakespeare Tavern. Please see the attached press release for more on this
event. On December 8 , I am honored to be participating in an event
sponsored by Recycle for the Arts, a program of The Green Project out of New
Orleans. The R4A Art Auction and Oddities Bazaar looks like it is going to
be a great event in the beautiful Crescent City. Go to

will be hosting another event in the Big Easy; more on that later.

Finally, I decided several months ago that I had to slow things down for a
bit this winter and concentrate on getting out of the FEMA trailer. I won't
be traveling very much, except for between here and beautiful Henleyfield,
Mississippi, home of my studio, my four goats and soon, I hope, my house. In
the meantime, I am continuing work on The Katrina Collection, and have been
working on several new series of mixed media pieces as well. To see the
