Training, Services, Employment /JobTraining available at South Mississippi Regional Center - Autism Resource Center

The Community Program addresses the needs of citizens who require less supervision and guidance and who live and work outside a comprehensive residential environment. Community services are designed to prevent institutionalization through directed individualized programming for clients enrolled in nonresidential placements.

Individuals receiving community services are those with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities and who are legal residents within the six-county service area of South Mississippi Regional Center.

Services provided may include assistive technology, case management, diagnostic and evaluative services, early education programs for infants and preschool-age children, home and community-based waiver services, job skills training, and work activity/supported employment services providing day programming for adult citizens.
