Who:
Dentists, hygienists and chair-side assistants with current, appropriate state license to practice their profession.

What:
Provide free dental care in the Pacific Northwest to low-income individuals with urgent needs. They have no access to dental care, nor insurance or money to pay for services. Volunteers make professional practice decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment based upon basic "standard of care" guidelines and individual procedure preferences or practice limitations.

When:
Commit to one day a week, month, quarter or year.
Volunteers choose which day, how often, location or how far to travel, patient choice of children and/or adults:

School children
Victims of domestic violence
Preschoolers
Homeless
Migrants
Working poor
Immigrants
Others needing help

We currently operate 10 Mobile Dental clinics in 39 Pacific Northwest counties. We can serve an average of more than 17,000 patients annually.

Greater Portland/Vancouver area
Salem, mid-Willamette Valley area
Greater Seattle/Puget Sound area
Walla Walla, Pendleton, Hermiston, Tri-Cities area
Douglas/Coos counties (Ore.)
Central Oregon

Why:
More than 2 million children and adults in the Pacific Northwest live below federal poverty levels. These families cannot afford basic dental care. Many more of the families earn too much to receive welfare, but too little to afford the escalating cost of insurance or dental care. Their dental needs go untreated and grow into severe conditions.
