Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our donors, the American Red Cross has determined that current financial donations and pledges are sufficient to cover the costs of the Red Cross?s response to the Southern California wildfires that sparked on October 21. As we continue to provide services, the cost of the response is estimated not to exceed $12-15 million. The Red Cross makes it a priority to inform the public and its donors when sufficient funds have been raised to cover its costs associated with a disaster response. While we are no longer actively soliciting funds for the California wildfires, many donations remain in ?pledge? form and have not yet been received by the Red Cross. As these pledges have already been incorporated into funds available for the relief effort, it is imperative that supporters fulfill their promised donation. ->
