If a person from a zip code not listed above uses the Elk Grove Food Bank, they are given food, directions and the phone number to the food closet or food bank that services their zip code. To receive food, a person needs to present their personal identification and proof of residence with the appropriate zip code. If they are picking up food for other members of their household, they must also provide identification for each person. Homeless individuals are not required to show identification. -> What's Available Three meals per day for three days are available for every family member once per calendar month. For example, if a person receives food on the 15th, they can return for more food as early as the 1st of the next month. Most of the food handed out is non perishable canned goods, but fresh fruit, vegetables, and/or milk are distributed when available. Food distribution is available Monday-Friday from 10:00am until 11:45am. and on Saturday from 9:00am until 12:00 noon. Closed on all major holidays.
