Candidates are chosen through a competitive application process. The San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium receives over a hundred applications each year. The minimum requirements to apply for either program are:

Be a US citizen, US national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the US (students in the US on a visa are not eligible)
Be at least 17 years old
Have a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED
Nearly all Community HealthCorps members have a bachelor degree upon enrollment of the program. For Community HealthCorps*VISTA, please refer to position descriptions for minimum qualifications.
