International volunteers: Work & children's ministry teams

Work teams: Church, school, community and civic groups use their talents and skills on Medical Teams International work teams, traveling to places like Romania, Moldova, Mexico, Honduras and Serbia. Teams work on a variety of projects such as construction, concrete floors, adobe stoves, building latrines, general maintenance and clean water systems.

Children’s ministry teams: Teams work with children at Bible clubs and camps.

Build a team: The best way to become part of a work team is to assemble a group of people to serve with you. Contact our international volunteer coordinator, Eve Ford (800.959.4325 or 503.624.1000), to determine an appropriate location and project. Individuals may join an already assembled team, but the opportunities are less frequent.

General volunteer qualifications:

Ability to work on behalf of a faith-based organization
Compassion for needy people
Willingness to work in difficult conditions and challenging environments
Good general health
Valid passport
Up-to-date doctor-recommended immunizations
Ability to pay and/or fundraise travel and in-country expenses
Ability to assist in acquiring needed team supplies
