Description

US-HERO is currently in need of someone with experience in Instructional Systems Design and Adult/Technical Education to head up our "Southwestern Emergency Services Academy" (SWESA).

This position is primarily responsible for managing the development of instructor led and web-based curriculum, which is focused on emergency services.

Duties include:

Ensuring courses are developed and validated in accordance with Instructional System Design principles.
Coordinating with subject area experts in the development and execution of training.
Interfacing with other emergency services training organizations; local, state, federal and private.
Reports to the Chief's Office of US-HERO.

Must be able to attend Executive Meetings in Austin, TX twice per month. This is not a virtual opportunity.

Skills

Degree or experience in adult education
Certification as a military or emergency services trainer is beneficial, but not required

Understanding of Instructional Systems Design
Ability to use word processing, publication and presentation software
