DISASTER ADVOCACY
NYDIS works to ensure that the concerns of faith communities and the needs of present and future disaster victims are addressed on a governmental and legislative level. Specifically, NYDIS strives to give a voice to the voiceless and under-resourced communities through advocacy, education, and when appropriate, legislative reform.

DISASTER RECOVERY
Long after catastrophic events occur, many who were impacted economically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually continue to struggle with the day-to-day process of recovery for months or years.
