Support for Named Disaster: 2010 April, Mississippi Tornado Support available at Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) - Operation Sharing

CAP needs your help to rush food, water and other emergency supplies to victims of this weekend's devastating tornadoes which wreaked havoc in four southern states.

The victims of these tornadoes need our assistance. Please help CAP rush emergency aid to the men, women and children suffering through this horrific disaster.

The savage tornadoes, one of which was nearly a mile wide, struck Saturday claiming twelve lives so far, injuring dozens more, and leaving hundreds homeless. Thousands, including children and seniors, remain without power.

Even as I write this, CAP is sending emergency supplies to Choctaw County, Mississippi and Albertville, Alabama, two to hardest hit areas. Please make a donation now to help aid reach these tornado victims.

We've been in touch with officials on the ground who have reported entire neighborhoods destroyed.

According to the Mayor of Albertville, 33 of his citizens were injured, and several homes were picked off their foundations and moved. The high school, middle school and several businesses were damaged. Nearly 2,000 of his citizens are without power, many of which are seniors. He is grateful for any help CAP is able to provide.
