Mission: from the website:
Since its inception in 1999, the Gaskov Clergé Foundation (GCF) has focused its philanthropic operations on empowering individuals one life at a time. GCF has given over 500 US volunteers the opportunity to bring health care to over 20,000 underserved men, women and children in Haiti. Our volunteers have made many critical interventions for patients who would have otherwise lost their lives due to non-existent access to health care. Thus far, the medical missions have profoundly impacted the volunteers and patients lives in ways that are indescribable. In addition, through the generosity of many, GCF now provides scholarships to over 180 children in Haiti, giving them an opportunity for a decent education and a brighter future.
From many discussions with our partners in Haiti, GCF is being recommended to re-purpose the existing "Centre de Santé" located in Quatre Chemins, Les Cayes. We are finalizing the memorandum of understanding for that project and will continue our Campaign (Brick Campaign) for the "Centre de Santé's" re-purposing, renovation and operations. Our vision to build a larger medical center for the region is being deferred for 2-5 years to allow the organization to focus on the immediate needs of the Centre de Santé in Quatre Chemins.

2021 Haiti Earthquake:
https://www.gaskov.org/gcf-earthquakerelief
On August 14, 2021, a 7.2 earthquake devastated the Southern region of Haiti. Our Thoughts and prayers are with our family and friends in Le Grand Sud, Haiti!
Our commitment remains unwavering and we are here to serve our community.
GCF is currently assessing the needs to prepare a sustainable strategy in response to this devastation. In the meantime, Klinik Fonfred will deploy a special wound care unit to work alongside other respondents in Les Cayes. The clinic will continue to receive patients in Fonfred. We will also come up with a plan to repair the damaged wall at Klinik Fonfred, as seen in the video on this page.
As a member of the Haitian Diaspora Emergency Disaster Unit (HDERU) platform, we will collaborate with other organizations to synergize on providing relief to those impacted effectively. This is a significant undertaking as it will take a concerted and well coordinated effort to respond to this disaster effectively.
How can you help?
You can donate towards the purchase of water, food and other in-country logistical resources. We will also use part of the funds to repair Klinik Fonfred's damages. Haiti's Prime Minister's office just released their updated needs assessment. A translated version of the needs assessment will be published during the week of 8/17/2021. Meanwhile, the Government of Haiti is being very strict about what supplies get into the country.

GCF works in Southern Haiti, in the district of Les Cayes, a very populous and underserved rural area with some of the country's worst health indicators. GCF serves a catchment area of approximately 600,000 people through yearly health missions from the United States. It uses the local health system and collaborates with two local hospitals to provide supplemental surgical and preventive care to an average of 3,000 patients a year. From 1999 through 2010, the medical missions tendered to nearly 20,000 rural families. In addition, GCF has recently found it increasingly necessary to contribute to relief efforts in Haiti and did so for both earthquake rapid response period as well as the current Cholera Outbreak that is dangerously spreading across the country.
Within weeks of the devastating January 12, 2010 earthquake, in addition to operating the core Mobile Clinic, GCF rotated over 100 medical volunteers over a four weeks period, in Port-au-Prince and its surrounding town to offer much needed health and wound care to victims in tent cities and remote towns.
