DBHDD provides treatment and support services to people with mental illnesses and addictive diseases, and support to people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities. DBHDD serves people of all ages with the most severe and likely to be long-term conditions, including consumers with forensic issues.

Services are provided across the state through contracts with 25 community service boards, boards of health and various private providers, and through state-operated regional hospitals.

Jeannette David & Steve Herndon: DBHDD- They have received a crisis counseling grant to provide services to the residents of GA impacted by the tornadoes. This grant should allow them to be able to provide services for the next 9 months. Clients wishing to seek their services should call 800-715-4225. They will be training 36 caseworkers to work on the project (GA Recovery Project).
