Task Force Alert (TFA) is a free service that allows United States Citizens in a crisis area, and U.S. citizens’ friends and loved ones back home, to enter information into a database that we can use to provide emergency consular assistance to U.S. citizens during a crisis.

IMPORTANT: Only United States Citizens should be entered into the TFA system.

When a large-scale crisis involving U.S. citizens occurs in a foreign country, the Department of State establishes a Consular Task Force in Washington to work with our overseas embassies and consulates to account for and provide assistance to U.S. citizens who are, or are believed to be, in the affected area.
