notes: FROM FACEBOOK 3/14/11: Global DIRT is currently evaluating the impact of fridays earthquake off the east coast of Japan. Global DIRT has pledged all assets to assist in response to the Japanese Government and the Japan Red Cross. Global DIRT has stood up a Rapid Assessment team and Task Force America units. The Rapid Assessment team is comprised of 5 members with years of experience in Disaster Management and Logistics Response. Additionally Task Force America has stood up which contains a 22 member search element and 8 urban search and rescue dogs. We are currently clearing the NGO response effort with the GoJ and will begin work as soon as clearance has been given. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people affected by the Earthquake, Tsunami, and Radia...tion in Japan.
