Notes:

Legacy International Response (LIR) is a non-profit organization devoted to lending a hand to those in need around the world. LIR is working to develop mobile medical teams to deploy into the most devastated areas of Haiti as well as to continue to support those areas for the long term.

We are a volunteer based organization in Southern Oregon, but are continually gaining support from all the around the country.

We believe that it is our mission to leave a legacy where ever we go through teaching those who work with us to become both leaders and teachers to those around them.

Please support us through your prayers and donations.

WHAT
LIR is organizing a mobile medical relief team to serve in 5 rural communities outside of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. The LIR team will hold 5 primary care medical clinics, one in each of the 5 communities. Community leaders from each of the location will work directly with the Legacy team. The LIR team will focus on teaching basic health practices and methods for sanitation to the people of these communities. Several members of the team will be in charge of teaching basic water treatment methods and distributing the needed supplies to the people. Each members of the medical team will have the opportunity to work independently or in teams of two during medical clinics. Students will work with the supervision of a licensed, physician, nurse, or EMT/Medic until they feel comfortable to work on their own.

WHERE
The Legacy team will be working in rural communities 3-4 hours outside of Port-Au-Prince Haiti. The lodging is still being confirmed and team members will be updated as soon as it is.

WHEN
The team will be leaving Friday, March 18 and returning on Saturday March 26. Flights are still being arranged. Updates will be available soon.

We are asking that each volunteer raise $1500 to cover the cost of airfare, food, lodging, medical and other supplies.
