The American Red Cross is on the scene and ready to assist families in Los Angeles County including residents of the La Cañada Flintridge-La Crescenta communities. The Red Cross is opening a shelter at 6:00pm at:

“We are prepared to work with our community partners and open more shelters if needed,” said Rich Baenen, emergency services director for the San Gabriel Pomona Valley chapter of the American Red Cross. “We will be providing meals, personal toiletries, and comfort. Our workers will be on hand to help individuals and families affected by these storms and meet their immediate disaster needs.”
The Red Cross recommends that as residents prepare to evacuate, they should bring important papers, medications, and some food for themselves and their pets.
