Per Holli Griffiths, Logistics Coord. for J/P HRO enough supplies were sent to Cayes-Jacmel (in the hands of MSPP) to set up two CTC's. The Marigot supplies are supposed to come in today. Patrice Tallyrand, Dr. Jorge and Holli are now coordinating the logistics of these deliveries and Patrice will make certain the sites get the supplies they need to operate.
As mentioned in previous message, the Marigot population has provided the land for the CTC.
Cubans and Miss Juste have approved it. Water has been installed as well as electricity.
Mabouya has rented a small house right accross the street for the 9 cuban doctors who will manage the center and to keep supplies.
Supplies can be kept at Mabouya or at CDI Cayes jacmel while the 9 cubans are being installed in Marigot which should be today at most.
The Marigot comittee has split the area into 45 parts, each with one person in charge of informing the population about the disease and proper preventive measures. Each should also carry a minimal amount of ORS specially in the section communales further away.
The list of needs sent last week by the Cuban doctors is as follows and the same list can be used for Marigot.
Doctor Montout and Misses Juste have activated a network of community health agents throughout the commune which they call "point d'approvisionement" where they provide ORS to the sections communales. They are under supplied but the will is there and if they find some support, it will make a world of difference.
We still did not get all the info from the for Cayes-Jacmel cuban doctors, they seemed overwhelmed all day but tomorrow we will meet with the mayor to obtain a location for the Cayes Jacmel CTC.
We are ready at the Mabouya Foundation to act as a hub for the reception and the distribution of supplies but we are doing our best to connect you with all the communes directly so that the supplies reach the localities faster.

12/12/10 Email from Patrice Talleyrand to Lionel Pierre Dated 12/6/10
The situation has worsen since yesterday. At the meeting today in Marigot, they spoke of about 40 to 50 cases. The corpses are not properly disposed of.
