Mission
Airline Ambassadors provides international relief and development to underprivileged communities worldwide.
Guiding Principle: Airline Ambassadors leverages contacts with the airline industry to offer volunteer opportunities and provide an outlet for volunteers to express their fundamental generosity, selflessness and compassion.
Vision
Our vision is to amplify avenues of kindness and compassion through travel and bring long-term benefit to children and families in the developing world. By providing opportunities for travelers to become a living link matching resource to need, we increase sharing understanding and goodwill between peoples and cultures. Our goal is to substantively improve the lives of those in need and provide opportunities for ordinary people to be of extraordinary service to one another.

IDP Resettlement and Reintegration in the Central Region
This project benefiting internally displaced persons (IDPs) will be implemented by AAI in two phases over an 18 month period. The goal is to fully resettle families of Haitian IDPs in the Central Plateau communities of Pandiassou and Mirebalais, anchoring them in villages through increased employment opportunities and permanent housing.
Phase 1 of the project will lay the groundwork for establishment of the communities with a focus on addressing the immediate need for IDP employment.
Phase 2 of the project will be implemented over a 12-month period and will focus on addressing the need for permanent shelter. By project completion 160 families will have newly constructed houses, 80 family representatives will have received vocational training in housing construction, and these newly trained workers will be employed in the construction of their houses providing them with cash and food-for-work opportunities.
The project has been approved by the UN’s Early Recovery Cluster and is currently under further consideration for inclusion in the UN Flash Appeal for Haiti. AAI is also in discussions with other donors for funding of Phase 2. The MINUSTAH office in Hinche has reviewed the project and has expressed support for its implementation; AAI has already begun the design and planning of the communities through the support of Engineering Ministries International.
AAI started implementation of the first phase of the project on July 29, 2010.
