The Campaign
The Bayada Nurses for Haiti volunteer relief campaign began shortly after Haiti’s devastating earthquake in January, 2010. Recognizing the need, Bayada immediately mobilized to sponsor RNs and LPNs willing to work in Haiti for a minimum of four weeks through our partnership with International Medical Corps (IMC) and Heart to Heart International. Bayada staff across the company have also donated vacation days and funds to help support the effort. Our first volunteer was on the ground in Haiti by March 23 and volunteers continue to help in the recovery effort.
This organization provides Temporary or Permanent Service? Temporary
Notes:
All experienced registered nurses and licensed practical nurses are welcome to apply. Interested applicants must hold a current nursing license. Emergency or critical care experience, as well as post-operative care experience is highly desirable for work in emergency rooms or clinics. Rehabilitation or community health experience is sought for work with mobile units traveling throughout the country. Missionary or other international travel experience is advised.
Due to the nature and magnitude of devastation in Haiti, all nurses should be willing and prepared to deal with extreme conditions. This is a volunteer assignment being coordinated with International Medical Corps (IMC) and Heart to Heart International and nurses are asked to commit to a minimum stay of four weeks in Haiti.
