With Grand-Goâve Online we provide basic education for 200 children from 6 to 17 years and to adults. We also want this site to become a pilot project which will promote awareness and training on sustainable development. It will be dedicated to a system of education and training which places at the center of it's mission civic equality, equality between women and men, respect for human rights, including the handicapped, and respect for human dignity. All personnel will be formed to this approch and according to the standards of the Ministry of National education and vocational training of Haiti. To meet our goals, we will design a fully autonomous building in accordance to the concept of construction and the techniques used for housing in earth (Earthship) and the perma-cultures principles. We will use a technique for building that is easy to reproduce with local and/or recycled materials. The creation of an eco-garden qill provide vegetables and fruit for the school and serve as demonstration of sustainable farming methods.
Sunday, 6 June 2010 marks the date of arrival of Sandra Renelique at Grand-Goâve to continue to work directly with the community for the construction of a school at Grand-Goâve. Sandra Renelique is the special representative of an action of Bergen in Holland to raise funds with Heart4Haiti.info which after the earthquake of 12 January 2010 has collected its funds performing activities to help us to build a school which will accommodate ecological poor children Community School The Renaissance, and vocational school who provide courses of computer science, languages and literacy to parents. The Renaissance and vocational school who provide courses of computer science, languages and literacy to parents. Since the month of March to date Sandra has never ceased to work together with Grand-Goâve Online to make the draft School of Haiti a Green success at all levels. It has always been faithful. It is a project to two phases which the first, with the funds collected by Heart4Haiti.info which amounted to approximately 8000 euros , Grand-Goâve Online is in charge of building a hangar which can accommodate the pupils of the Renaissance who were currently in the classes of fortune under tarpaulins which disturb their visibility and the heat with the passage of the sun; and provide the school of teaching materials and movable property for its functioning.
