Update: The store is back open, the clinic is open, and The Absentee Shawnee Tribe has opened the Little Axe Resource Center as a shelter open to ALL who need it in the community. The buildings are operating on generators but we are up and going. Donations are also being accepted on the Absentee Shawnee's website at www.astribe.com. If you know someone from the Little Axe area who needs help, please direct them to the Little Axe Resource Center. Food, water, a comforting shoulder to lean on and other assistance is available for those who need it. Please watch the tribe's website for more information as to needed resources, updates and where more help is needed.
