mission: Global DIRT (Disaster Immediate Response Team) was founded in January 2010 by it’s president Adam Marlatt, shortly after the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Adam and co-founder Robert Sullivan were both first responders to the disaster, and have been on the ground ever since. Using their experiences as members of the United States Marine Corps, they have constructed a small all-volunteer force dedicated to providing immediate assistance to victims of disasters all around the globe.
In a sea of NGOs all trying to make a difference in these desperate times, DIRT stands out in the crowd. We act as an intermediary between larger organizations, hospitals, military, and the victims, all while putting the best interest of the victims first. We operate when other organizations will not, and provide immediate assistance that many organizations can not. We are small, but we are dedicated. We are making a difference.
The Global DIRT team is currently continuing to serve in Haiti, where we have earned a reputation as a go-to NGO for assistance in transportation and logistics. We are helping to provide water, food and medical supplies in areas that are not always being reached by larger organizations. We also specialize in emergency patient transfers, and are working diligently on ways to improve communication between local hospitals and clinics. We are committed to making a difference by providing quality service and a continued objective of putting the victim first.
Global DIRT is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. 100% of all donations go directly towards supporting the team and helping to make a difference in the lives of disaster victims everywhere. ->

Global DIRT is currently dedicating all man-power and resources to provide relief in any way possible to the victims of the recent earthquake that devastated the nation of Haiti.
During our first trip, volunteers connected to create a mass casualty ambulance from available supplies. Utilizing a donated bread truck, EMT volunteers were able to move hundreds of patients to hospital and clinics where they could receive proper medical treatment. We were able to help fill the void in communication between military and civilian organizations on the ground, and thus speed up the distribution of food, water, and medical aid to disaster victims in the Greater Port-Au-Prince area. Our focus during this trip was to increase communication and prevent unnecessary casualties.
Our second trip brought even more volunteers on board, and saw the continued cooperation between local Haitians and other NGOs to deliver aid to areas that desperately need it. We spent time with Tennessee-based organization God’s Planet, who we helped deliver vaccinations to an orphanage in Croix-des-Bouquets. We also assisted in the construction of chicken coops for the orphanage in order to provide them with a sustainable food source. Those members that have returned home have continued to help raise funds and awareness in order to continue assisting the team members still on the ground.
We will continue serving in Haiti through the upcoming hurricane season and beyond, and this is made possible solely by our volunteers and the donations of our supporters. On behalf of the people of Haiti we thank you for your continued support!
