notes: The small community of Sun, LA had been adopted by Katrina's Angels (www.katrinasangels.org) back at the end of '05, and clearly they've been a very overlooked little village. With their budget depleted and still so much to get done in the recovery process, Katrina's Angels has appointed Mayor Barbara Gibson to be their Community Distribution Coordinator. The Village of Sun is now able to accept donations of food, office and playground equipment, and other supplies coordinated with and through Mayor Gibson. Deliveries will go to the Civic Center, but since this facility is only open for local scheduled events with no consistent hours, as mentioned above deliveries should be coordinated with the Mayor who can be contacted at the City Hall Mon. - Fri. 9-4:30 or by appt. at: 985-886-5500 or emailed at: villagesun@charterinternet.com Thank you in advance for anything you can do to assist this struggling village.
