Grassroots United is urgently seeking Nurses/Doctors to respond/volunteer in Haiti for the Cholera Epidemic
GRU is MOBILIZING!!! We’ve sent supplies out with Partners in Health and we’re packing up the GRU Bus for two clinics we’re setting up with Medical Teams International and our other incredible partners. One is going up in Saint-Marc to support Partners in Health. The second will be on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince.... New reports suggest that there are confirmed cases of cholera 25 K from City Soliel, the largest slum in the western hemisphere. GRU is heading there tomorrow with teams of Haitian volunteers to get the public up to speed on how to stay healthy. We plan to get between 6 and 12 clinics set up as soon as we can, and as need demands. We’ve set up a blog (www.grassrootsunited.blogspot.com) so you can read the details and follow the progress as we work with the Haitians to fight on yet another front. All donations we take in are going toward bringing IV fluids into Haiti ASAP, if you can give anything please go to http://www.grassrootsunited.org/contribute.html. If you want to get in touch email us at info @ grassrootsunited.org. If you want to join us here, go to www.grassrootsunited.org!
