An Incredibly Dynamic Tool!!

The database was a project designed to assist a communities operation from MA. Think of this database as their baby. Long hard hours of volunteer time to bring this baby to creation. The original plans, once born, began to grow & develop further than originally intended. Now, in 2010, its about to become obsolete... technology marches forward!

For some it has been called a "Failure", HOWEVER to many, many more it has & is a great success!!

We need the help of a SENIOR RUBY/RAILS developer!! If you are able to help keep us ALIVE, please contact Terra!

As time has marched on we have developed to much more than when we first began!

Shortly after Katrina, we realized that an online tool was needed to track the needs for relief supplies...especially for orgs that were falling through the cracks. This database has grown to the be the largest database of its kind, and has become an international tool. We are working in Haiti, Chile, etc. Other user groups are now using the tool, including on-going human service organizations, which help people in times of personal tragedy.

Here are some the written articles:

(just do a search for "Citizen Actin Team" and database. Or "citizen command center" to see more up to date articles)
