Relief Work
Thanks to its supporters, PADF and its partners brought
in more than 100 tons of supplies during the initial
five weeks of the crisis. The following are a few
highlights:
114,000+, Food, water, shelter, medicine and more were distributed to
more than 114,000 people from January 12 to February 22.
Food
Feeding hundreds of thousands of displaced people continues
to be a challenge for all relief organizations. Thanks to
donations by organizations such as Impact in Ohio, for example,
more than 40 tons of corn (which is 1,600 bags) arrived
to Santo Domingo on February 18. Feed My Starving
Children donated three shipping containers of fortified rice
and soy to the effort. In addition, 40 tons of dry milk were
donated by Colombian organizations, which will provide
20,000 Haitians with milk daily for two months.
