Aid Delivered; Help for Asile St. Vincent de Paul
Lucia Anglade, Life and Hope founder, is headed down Feb. 16 for her third trip to Leogane with medical professionals and others volunteering for the relief effort. The first trip was via Ft. Lauderdale with 4,000 pounds of supplies, thanks to Jet Blue, and then to Cap Haitien through a corporate plane donation. Lucia and others caught a helicopter to Leogane, where they helped Sister Claudette at the Asile St. Vincent De Paul, which is caring for 150 elderly, disbabled and orphaned residents. The second trip brought five volunteers through Santiago, DR, where they picked up 3,500 pounds of food in addition to the 1,000 pounds they were already carrying. The food was donated by Go Ministries in Santiago. Finally, a crew of 16 is headed for Santo Domingo the week of Feb. 16 and will take a bus to PAP.
----------------
Life and Hope Haiti founder Lucia Anglade made her second trip Leogane Feb. 6 to help her sister at the devastated Asile de St. Vincent de Paul. Thanks to Tradewinds Aviation, the Connecticut executive air carrier (as well as Jet Blue who took the extra cargo), Lucia and four other people, including a doctor and nurse from Canada as well as two journalists, were able to take supplies, medicine and food. Lucia is planning another trip Feb. 16 with a group of about 15 people. Life and Hope was founded to run a school in the north of Haiti.
If you wish to make a paypal donation, please go to our DONATIONS page or send money to Life and Hope, 210 Essex St., West Babylon, NY 11704. Thank you. The Eben Ezer School in Milot was not hurt, but thousands of people are being evacuated to hospitals in Milot.

mission:
Life and Hope Haiti, a tax-exempt non profit organization, was formed by a Haitian American woman who wanted to give something back to her homeland. Since 2001, the organization has built a schoolhouse and educated children in Milot, a town in northern Haiti, the poorest country in the hemisphere. Most of these children would not have gone to school without the work of this organization.
In addition to giving children the education so necessary for any underdeveloped country to progress, Life and Hope provides meals and medical care. The organization is now working on building a link to high school for motivated children, as well as an orphanage for children left without parents.
