Prior to the quake they had a girls orphanage with 38 kids. Post quake they currently have 56 girls and began taking in orphaned boys (48 total currently). Many orphaned children that had lost their parents in the quake were left on their doorstep.
A donor from NC donated $24,000 to build the boy's home. It is in the final construction and additional funding is needed to complete the work and make it ready for the boys to move in:
Fencing
Bunk Beds
Closets (storage to hold the boys clothes/shoes/personal items)
Iron bars (for the windows/security)
Housing/Shelter:
The boys building is almost complete. Until then, they live in a tent structure behind their original orphanage that was destroyed 1/12/10 in the earthquake. The new building is next to their bakery.
The girls are situated in a small house on 4 acres of land and they hope someday to be able to rebuild on the original site to house the girls again. For now, they are well and safe.
Caregivers: 3 for the girls & 2 for the boys. It is their desire to raise more funds because they need more caregivers for this large number of kids.
Health/Medical: An organization provides them with OTC Medication on a once per month basis. They have a Nurse on staff and if illness or injury is beyond her scope of care, the children are transported to a free clinic in PaP.
School/Education: A church in FL donated a bldg. for their School that is in the process of being constructed. They provide education to a total of 160 children on the 4 acres of land the girls reside on. The have 7 teachers total and in addition to the 104 kids in their care, they have an additional 56 children from the oommunity that attend their school.
I am providing Pastor Kelly with the information about Sweet Sleep to get on a waiting list for bunk beds by email. He is very interested in learning more and becoming part of an 'Orphanage Network'.

2/4/10 Michael Andrew was allocated 58,000 meals from the Salvation Army which he turned over to the Canadian Army on 2/3/10 and they are distributing this food and water as well to all the Leogane orphanages.
A more long term solution for these sites is in the works.

2/3/10 FOLLOW UP NOTE FROM MICHAEL: They are already plugged into the Canadian Navy Pipeline- I asked my contact there to deliver them food and water within an hour of finding them. He said he'd take care of it- knowing him it should last them month.

Facebook post from Emily Naumovski (works for Food For The Poor) 1/20/11:
OMG! Leslie, please stay far away from him. He is a crook beyond anything that you can imagine. He has swindled several parishioners and churches out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. I strongly urge you to not have anything to do wi...th this man. If you need testimonies from my donors that have been swindled by him, please let me know. In addition, the girls that are in his 'orphanage' fear him because of the things he has done to them. I haven't logged onto fb in a very long time and I just happen to log on today and read your post-it was totally the Lord! You should feel my heart rate! My hands are shaking while I'm typing this. OM gosh...this man is pure evil. Please do not give him a dime.

FROM THE WEBSITE:
The Foundation operates:
an Orphanage of 38 girls
a low cost school for 650 kids,
a church,
and a Medical Clininc that provides free services for the local community near Leogane, Haiti.
==============================
NOTE: The only structure left standing is the church and it's not safe. All other buildings they operated were completely destroyed. No more school, medical clinic or housing. -> LTel - 1/19/11 - Per phone call to Pastor Kelly in the U.S.:
Prior to the quake they had a girls orphanage with 38 kids. Post quake they currently have 56 girls and began taking boys (48 total currently).
A donor from NC donated $24,000 to build the boy's home. It is in construction with needs for:
Fencing
Bunk Beds
The building is almost complete. Until then, the boys live in a tent structure behind their original orphanage that was destroyed 1/12/10 in the earthquake.
The girls are situation in a small house on 4 acres of land and they hope someday to be able to rebuild on the original site to house the girls again. For now, they are well and safe.
Caregivers: 3 for the girls & 2 for the boys. It is their desire to raise more funds because they need more caregivers for this large number of kids.
Health/Medical: An organization provides them with OTC Medication on a once per month basis. They have a Nurse on staff and if illness or injury is beyond her scope of ability, the children are transported to a free clinic in PaP.
A church in FL donated a bldg. for School that is in the process of being constructed. They provide education to a total of 160 children on the 4 acres of land the girls reside on.
I am providing Pastor Kelly with the information about Sweet Sleep to get on a waiting list for bunk beds by email. He is very interested in learning more and becoming part of an 'Orphanage Network'.
---------------------------------------------
2/4/10 Michael Andrew was allocated 58,000 meals from the Salvation Army which he turned over to the Canadian Army on 2/3/10 and they are distributing this food and water as well to all the Leogane orphanages.
A more long term solution for these sites is in the works.
----------------------------------------------
2/3/10 1:14 p.m. PST - Michael Andrew visited: 46 girls, they have some help there but will need some food, water, tents, clothes over the long term - Pastor Kelly 011-509-3740-1646
2/3/10 FOLLOW UP NOTE FROM MICHAEL: They are already plugged into the Canadian Navy Pipeline- I asked my contact there to deliver them food and water within an hour of finding them. He said he'd take care of it- knowing him it should last them month.
