Mission: What is Rise?
RISE is a disaster case management program, operated by Lutheran Social Services Disaster Response, designed to provide help, support and advocacy for survivors of Hurricane Ike as they recover from the disaster. RISE disaster case management is available in 16 counties of southeast Texas through a network of local agencies. RISE case managers work in partnership with hurricane survivors to assess their disaster-related needs, develop long-term recovery plans, and connect survivors to available resources to meet their disaster-related needs.

Its ministries include disaster response, therapeutic foster care, retirement communities, senior health care, adult day care, adoption, children's centers and emergency assistance

Who Qualifies for Disaster Case Management through the RISE program?
To qualify to receive RISE disaster case management services, you must:

Be a survivor of Hurricane Ike.

Currently live in one of the following Texas counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Hardin, Jefferson, Liberty, Madison, Matagorda, Montgomery, Orange, Walker, Waller or Washington.
*If you resided in one of these 16 counties before Hurricane Ike and are now living outside the service area, please call 1-888-IKE-RISE to determine if you may be eligible for disaster case management services.

Be a United States citizen or legal resident.

Not currently be receiving assistance from the Disaster Housing Assistance Program
