United Way establishes fund for long-term flood recovery

Fargo – United Way of Cass-Clay has established a long-term flood recovery fund. The newly established United Way of Cass-Clay 2009 Long-Term Flood Recovery Fund is now accepting donations. The fund has been established to assist with unmet needs of individuals and families affected by the 2009 flood. Dollars will be used to re-establish stability, safety and security for individuals and families throughout the Cass and Clay county area.

There are three ways for individuals to give to the United Way of Cass-Clay 2009 Long-Term Flood Recovery Fund. Individuals can:

-give online by logging on to www.uwcc.net and clicking on “Donate Now,”
-call the United Way of Cass-Clay office at 701-237-5050 and process donations with a credit card
-or mail checks to:

Please make checks payable to United Way of Cass-Clay and indicate “2009 Flood Recovery” in the memo. A printable 2009 Long-Term Flood Recovery Fund Donation Form is also available online at www.uwcc.net.

The United Way of Cass-Clay 2009 Flood Recovery Fund has been established to help families in need of long-term recovery assistance. The fund is designed to address unmet needs that remain AFTER FEMA and insurance claims have been processed. United Way of Cass-Clay will work collaboratively with area non-profit agency case managers who specialize in disaster recovery to distribute the funds as needed.

The mission of United Way of Cass-Clay is to bring people together to create lasting change that will improve lives.
