HELP REUNITE EVACUEES WITH THEIR PETS *

There is an online group that helped reunite well over one thousand animals with their families after Katrina. We fear that a crisis is also developing with Ike, not only with the people who have lost homes, electrical power and things like water and phones and communication that we depend on, but also with those animals who were left in the expectation that Galveston would be reopened and who are now in need of food, water, and possible medical attention. To restore an animal to its family is to restore love to the heart of people who have learned the hard way what is important to them.

Please consider volunteering online with the Stealth Volunteers to collect information on lost and found animals in the Ike-affected areas and to reach out and educate people on the best way to find pets or owners.
