Back Home!!
-------------------
We will be mucking out houses and doing some construction work. Chefs
are also needed to feed the servants.
Pray about giving of yourself and being the "hands and feet" of Jesus.
Committed Relief is still working out of CC Houston, the closest CC to the hard-hit Galveston Bay area.
We continue to feed the servants and work the field, tarping roofs and cutting up downed trees.
We recently toured the coastal town of San Leon, a small fishing town hit hard by Ike but forgotten by the media.
Driving up and down the local roads we observed many homes completely destroyed by the winds and storm surge. We even had to back up on one street when we came upon a home planted right in the middle!
Please pray about moving our operations closer to this area. To do this we would need more servants and donations to feed the community, already poor but now destitute. The need is still there.

Greetings,
Committed Relief will be moving the base camp from CC Houston to San
Leon. Servants are needed for the following dates:
October 4-11
October 12-18
We will be mucking out houses and doing some construction work. Chefs
are also needed to feed the servants.
Servants need to make their own flight arrangements on Southwest
Airlines to Houston Hobby Airport.
Pick up at the airport will be arranged
Servants will be sleeping in a Baptist church and eating food provided
by Committed Relief. It appears that a place to shower has been found.
Pack clothes for a week (or longer), toiletries, bath towel and bring
a sleeping bag - cots will be provided.
San Leon was hit very hard by both the hurricane winds and a storm
surge. Many houses are simply damaged beyond repair, and the ones that
are still standing need mucking out and some repair. This is a poorer
community, and the least now have nothing.
Pray about giving of yourself and being the "hands and feet" of Jesus.
Please contact Mari Haney at (714) 446-6222 for info on airline
flights and to provide servant info.
