Last Saturday, North Valley Animal Disaster Group held a volunteer drill involving the mock evacuation and relocation of 50+ animals from BHS. July 8, 2008: The Concow Fire has taken a turn for the worse causing the Butte County Sheriff's Office to issue an evacuation advisory for Concow and Yankee Hill area residents.
Las Plumas High School at 2380 Las Plumas Ave. in Oroville.
Large animals may be taken to the Chico State University Farm at 311 Nicholas C. Schouten Lane directly off Hegan Lane.
Evacuees from Paradise may take their companion animals to the Neighborhood Church in Chico at 2801 Notre Dame Blvd.
Our focus is assisting in the evacuation and sheltering of animals during a large disaster. If you are forced to evacuate and need a place to shelter your animals, we can help. If you are not home when a disaster strikes and you need someone to enter an area that has been evacuated, we can help get your animals out. Contact us now at (530) 895-0000.
The North Valley Animal Disaster Group is not a government funded agency. There are no paid employees. We do not have a permanent Animal Shelter. Apart from our public education department, we only provide sheltering and evacuation services during a large disaster.
