SNEHA has been working in the field of suicide intervention for the past 21 years. Since its inception in 1986, over 1,50,000 people have utilised our services.

The centre is entirely manned by volunteers and runs solely with the help of public donations. A careful screening process is undertaken periodically, to select volunteers from all walks of life. These volunteers are then trained and equipped with the necessary skills needed to handle the befriending needs of the caller.

SNEHA is open 24 hours a day for telephone calls and from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for visits every day, through the year.

There are around 50 volunteers working for SNEHA currently. The information shared by the callers is held in strict confidence and the identity of each caller is carefully protected within the four walls of SNEHA.

Sneha is open on all 365 days of the year.

Confidentiality and anonymity are assured.
Sneha is a non-political, non-religious organisation.
